How credits & free allowances work
Every AI feature (resume checks, cover letters, match analysis, tailored CV downloads, Q&A generation, and chat) draws from two pools, in order:
Free allowance — a recurring number of free uses. Depending on how the platform is configured, this can reset daily, weekly, monthly, or not at all. It is used first, automatically.
Paid credits — a non-expiring balance you top up by purchasing a pass or credit pack. Only used once your free allowance for that period is exhausted.
Your usage panel on the dashboard shows both pools separately, so you always know exactly which bucket you are drawing from and how much is left in each.
Anonymous (not signed in) usage
Free tools work for anonymous visitors too, tracked per-browser rather than per-account, with a separate, smaller free allowance. Signing up does not reset or lose this — it adds a larger, separately-tracked allowance on top.
Nothing is spent without you seeing the cost first
Every credit-consuming action (match analysis, tailored CV generation, cover letters, Q&A generation, CV data extraction, etc.) shows you the cost and your remaining balance in a confirmation step before it runs. Nothing is triggered automatically in the background.
When you are out
If both pools are exhausted, you will be prompted to either wait for your free allowance to reset (if applicable) or purchase a pass/credit pack — see Passes, credit packs & pricing.
