When you open ATS Friendly AI, you enter a complete web application designed to help job seekers create high-scoring resumes and help employers find qualified candidates. This guide walks you through every section of the screen, every header link, and every accessibility feature available to you.
Once you’re signed in, the application interface is structured into 3 main regions that remain consistent across pages:
1. Left Sidebar: A collapsible sidebar running down the left edge of every dashboard page (on mobile it collapses into a top bar with a menu button instead). It carries the site logo, a quick "+ New Application" shortcut, and three grouped navigation sections: Workspace (Dashboard, Browse Jobs, My Portfolio, History), AI Tools (Resume Checker, CV Editor, Cover Letter, Mock Interview), and Account (Billing & Payments, Notifications, Settings, Help Center). Click the collapse icon to shrink it to icons-only.
2. Sub-Navigation Breadcrumb Bar: Located right below the header on detail pages. It shows your exact location on the site, such as Home > Help Center > Getting Started, allowing you to jump back one level with a single click.
3. Main Workspace Canvas: The central area of the screen where your application cards, forms, match score gauges, cover letters, and document editors appear.
Here is what each link in the sidebar does when you click it:
Logo (Top of Sidebar): Clicking the ATS Friendly AI logo takes you to the home landing page.
Dashboard: Your personal control center at /dashboard where you manage active job applications and launch new ones.
Browse Jobs: Opens the public job board at /jobs to browse and apply to verified openings.
My Portfolio: Opens your portfolio settings at /portfolio to design and publish a shareable personal website.
History: Opens your complete application archive at /history where you can search past applications by company name or job title.
Resume Checker / CV Editor / Cover Letter / Mock Interview: Open the standalone AI tools directly at /ats-resume-checker, /ats-editor, /cover-letter, and /dashboard/interview.
Billing & Payments: Opens your credit balance and purchase history.
Notifications: Opens a page listing application updates, credit alerts, and promo releases.
Settings: Opens Account & Security settings at /user-profile.
Help Center: Opens this documentation site at /docs.
Theme Toggle: Click the sun/moon/monitor icon (top of the mobile header, or inside the sidebar on desktop) to cycle between System Default, Light Mode, and Dark Mode.
Account Menu: Click your profile avatar to open a menu with Account & Security, Refer & Earn, Billing & Payments, Company, Replay guide, and Sign out.
Every feature on ATS Friendly AI is designed for full accessibility, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility:
Press the Tab key to move focus sequentially forward through links, buttons, and form input fields.
Press Shift + Tab to move focus backward to the previous interactive element.
Press Enter or the Spacebar to press buttons, open dropdown menus, or submit forms.
Use the Up and Down Arrow keys to scroll through options inside open dropdown menus.
Press the Escape key to close open modal dialogs, slide-out panels, or dropdown menus.
All visual buttons include visible focus rings and ARIA labels so screen readers announce their function clearly.
Screen readers receive real-time announcements when forms validate or when text generation completes.
The platform offers options for both visitors and registered members:
Anonymous Visitors: You can test tools immediately without signing up. Visitor usage is tracked per browser with a recurring daily allowance.
Registered Free Accounts: Creating a free account unlocks a larger recurring allowance, permanently saves your application sessions, and lets you export PDF and Word files.
Passes and Paid Credits: Paid plans offer non-expiring credit balances and daily passes for unlimited resume checks and executive exports.
